International Non Violence Day:  2nd October 2014.

On his 145th birthday Mahatma Gandhi invites you to be “the Change that you want to see.”

Give us a punch line that promotes tolerance; non- violence; equality; Peace; justice and so on.

Examples:

  • An eye for an eye would turn entire world blind
  • Be the change that you wanted to see
  • All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good wo/men do nothing

Category of Prizes: (500 AUD) :

  1. The five best punch lines (by GPCA judges)
  2. The five punch lines that have maximum likes from your friends that you have received on the GPC Facebook page for your punch line (by public)

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Punch line should be your own; original and never published before.
  2. The punch line should preferably be in English but any other language will also be accepted (provide an English translation).
  3. Only one punch line per person. Do not send the punch line written on behalf of others.
  4. The Punch line should be promoting Peace; Harmony and Societal awareness.
  5. The Gandhi peace Centre Judges’ decisions will be final.
  6. Your punch line will be put up on our Facebook and on our website for public display.

Prize :

  • 1st round Prize: Forward your Punch line by end of 14th November 2014 (Children’s day) on our email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it (we will place this on our Facebook).
  • 1st round of winning punch lines will be announced on 30th January 2014 (until then you must get maximum likes for your punch on Facebook).
